Artificial feathers

Vegan artificial feathers for Easter crafts, decorations and other crafts

Made on a small scale in my studio from biodegradable PLA plastic, 3D printed and then individually shaped by hand, giving them an organic and unique look. They vary in shape and length, and no two feathers are exactly alike!

The feathers are stiffer than natural feathers, and can therefore withstand getting wet or being outdoors in the elements without being destroyed. Can be cleaned if necessary in cool water. This means that the feathers are more durable than natural feathers or other artificial alternatives, and can be reused many times over.  

The springs have two small holes in the shaft that allow for various types of attachment. They can be lashed with a thin steel wire, hung from a loop of sewing thread, taped, glued or sewn onto costumes.

A piece of thin steel wire is included in the package, which you can cut and attach to the springs yourself.

Remember that the springs should not be exposed to temperatures above 50C, as they may deform.

Even though they are made of so-called bioplastic, they should of course never be left in nature.

Craft tips!
If you want an even more natural look, you can "trim" the edge of the feather with scissors. This makes the feathers a little more sensitive to wear, but gives a more organic and fluffy look.

The feathers can be decorated with acrylic paint, alcohol-based markers, glitter, etc. Try it yourself!
